Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

The last Mission: Impossible movie was so long ago, I forgot that this movie follows the events of that movie.
  • Wow...Chinese funding, huh.
  • So Malaysia is the new Timbuktu?
  • You can't help but feel a little bad when you see Grandpa Cruise getting, erm, hurt... OOF...!
  • Solomon Lane sounds more like an actual street name than baddie name, but that's just me.
  • Nice Halo plug, guys.
  • Don't get me started on BMW.
  • Simon Pegg is still the funniest thing in this movie.
  • You have to feel bad for the chick in the record store..
  • I can't be the only one that wants the lock picking thingamajig both Ethan and Benji. Nice standard issue gadget to have :P
  • Have to like that IMF has supply caches (I'm guessing) all over the planet.
  • The motorcycle chase scene in Morocco is pretty mind blowing. I can't be the only one who found the moment Ethan forgot that he was in street clothes when he lowered his knee while turning hilarious. Also props to Tom Cruise's driving in the first part with the BMW.
  • It's not a Mission: Impossible movie without the theme music and the mask peel off.
  • You have to give Tom Cruise props for still doing his own stunts even in his fifties.
  • ... and to Jeremy Renner for being so stylo, even on the lam.
  • So where did the money Lane paid Ethan actually went?
  • Dougray Scott must still be kicking himself somewhere.
  • Didn't really care for the floppy hair, Tom Cruise.
  • I wonder if sales for Simon Pegg's t-shirt in the third act are going to rocket (haha) after this movie.
  • So if the entire disbanded IMF team is on some wanted list, how did they travel from Morocco to London again? Oh right... (maybe) fake passports.
  • If this was a Bond movie, Ilsa and Ethan would've totally done it by now.
  • So does this make Alec Baldwin their new boss, or how?
  • I've only just noticed that the last few movies involve the IMF getting dissolved in some fashion.
  • I know it's rated PG-13, but bringing your kids to one of these movies, ah... (especially with Ilsa killing that guy the way she did in the third act was...O.o)
If you enjoyed the series, go nuts. Even if you don't (like me), it's still a fun movie to watch.
