First Impressions: Mitsui Outlet Park, Sepang

If it was me, I wouldn't go so soon, but since the 'rents (read: the old bean) wanted to go, I might as well just tumpang sekaki only lah, and I wouldn't be driving... well, both ways anyway (stay tuned to find out why).

Getting there is not hard; just follow the directions stated and you should be fine. Wouldn't Waze it, as it assumes you can just turn in off the highway or something... which YOU CAN'T.

Parking: Damn hot outside, and don't get me started on how they already started charging people parking on the first day when only about half the stores are open. As for the normal parking rates... RM2 PER HOUR? WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BULLSHIT?! Are you trying to stop people from coming? Even fucking JPO only charges a flat parking fee...

By the time we were there (midafternoon), parking was a flat RM2 (not much of a consolation) and you pay as you leave not at the autopay machine (which I saw a lot of people complain about the long lines just to pay parking on Facebook). Have to feel bad for the guys standing outside by the boom gates collecting the fares in their office wear, though.

If nothing else, at least it's in an airconditioned building. If you thought JPO was too damn warm, some of you might melt outside in Sepang.

In case anyone was wondering: Nope, didn't buy anything.

Long story short: Not even half the shops are open. Wouldn't go just yet, not for a couple more months. A lot of the big, more exciting names are not open yet (Bally, Melium Outlet, etc) are gradually opening over the next couple of months

[Had to drive back because in all the excitement, the old bean forgot his wallet and therefore, no driver's license on his person.]
