Guardians of the Galaxy

Went in to watch Guardians of the Galaxy with very little expectation and because I'm a sucker for anthropomorphism. You've got to be a real fan to know this title existed before the movie came into existence. Saw the trailer in the cinema and thought it was worth a watch, but not opening weekend worth it. Because it was over 2 hours long, I had to find the earliest screening I could find and ended up watching it at Tropicana Mall and was home around 10 p.m.
  • How is his Walkman being powered in space? Where does he find batteries for it?
  • You know there's blatant nepotism at play when you see a whole lot of Kirk from Gilmore Girls (playing Yondu's right hand person) than it was (probably) necessary.
  • Figured that his dead mum's last gift to him would be another frigging mixtape right before he opened it.
  • Why is Ronan the Accuser wearing what seems to be black lace on his face?
  • The Dark Aster looks like one of those rolling pin foot massage devices.
  • Have to love the "No raccoons or tree creatures were harmed during the making of this film" line in the credits, haha.
  • Stay for the post credit stinger.
  • Yes, there's a Stan Lee cameo (which I'm glad was pretty early in the movie).
All in all, it's pretty funny and really entertaining to watch even if you don't know who they are and what it's about.
