The Cranberries are coming to KL!

If you're a child of the 90s, you may remember butchering the words to the distinct sounding Zombie or related to Linger or didn't care for Faye Wong's cover of Dreams. Perhaps the last thing was just me.

After a decade long hiatus, not only are The Cranberries reunited, have an upcoming album out and also touring, BUT THEY'RE ALSO DOING SOUTH EAST ASIA EARLY APRIL!

More importantly, they're making a stop in KL.

I first found out when I saw this in yesterday's paper - I didn't want to get too excited until I see the actual tour date listed on their official portals like Facebook and website. As of now, it's confirmed on their end (never mind that "Kuala Lumpur" is misspelled on their official site) and that it's happening on 4 April (not 14th that I probably misread) at Stadium Negara (am I glad that it's not Stadium Bukit Jalil). I've not been there since the Muse concert back in 2007.

Tickets are only going on sale next Monday (Feb 13th) and here's the (tentative?) ticketing details:
Tickets are priced at RM110 and RM170 for free seating, RM230 and RM280 for numbered seating, RM220 for the Rock Zone and RM300 for The Pit.
There will be an early bird promotion from Feb 13 to 19 with a 15% discount on all online ticket purchases via www.ticketcharge.com.my
Not that I've seen the I can tell you now where I WON'T BE - the free seating, Rock Zone and/or The Pit. I'm simply too short and refuse to deal with that kind of bullshit anymore. If I'm going by myself, the least I could do is to be comfortable. It's numbered seating or bust... unless they do it like Coldplay and have paper butterfly cutouts strewn all over the mosh pit area. But I haven't seen the seating plan yet, so see how that goes and I personally hope that it's not sold out in under 5 minutes or some crazy shit like that.
