- Just so people would stop uploading clips on YouTube, Comedy Central (and Viacom) now has full episodes of its hit shows, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report on their website. The best part is, I can watch both shows like this all the way from Malaysia - which is great, considering that the other networks don't allow people outside the United States to watch full episodes of anything. That's free TV for you. But heck, its beats downloading torrents or watching seperate clips.
- I can also watch full-ish episodes of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on YouTube, as in more than just the monologues. Won't say who, I don't want YouTube to suspend the account. (They've already suspended the account that's been posting Conan O' Brien videos)
- Also found out this week that another girl I went to college with
is was on the current season of the local So You Think You Can Dance? show when I stumbled upon it channel surfing.
- Bought the July issue of Cleo after so many months of not buying and I saw a Kotex print ad featuring a girl that I went to primary, secondary and college with (a coincidence more than anything else - apart from that, we've nothing else in common).
- New Coldplay CD (Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends) out this last week. Some of the Malaysians on the forums haven't seen it in the shops the first couple of days; but I saw ONE in the window of Victoria Music (RM38 for an imported copy - not a bad deal) in Atria yesterday when I was there for dinner. Haven't bought it and also haven't hear the leak that I've downloaded. Until I know if there are any freebies (at least a poster) with every purchase, I won't buy mine so soon. There's also a contest held by EMI Malaysia which I've thrown my hat into the ring for CDs and/or tee-shirts. *crosses fingers and toes*
- Get Smart and The Bank Job out this week! Woo hoo! Going to watch them over the next two weeks.... provided nothing happens, of course. ; )
- Bought a Pensonic DVD player for the house yesterday which cost me RM129 (might have been shortchanged at the cashier, which I didn't realise until I was stewing about it at home some hours later - not much I can do about it now). Most importantly, it's PAL/NTSC compliant (Regions 1 and 3 DVDs can play) and it's got a USB port, which means I can watch shows off a thumbdrive on the 29 inch TV in the living room! Woo hoo!
