After 2 hours of waiting, the place went dark at 8.50 p.m. and they kicked off the show with Knights of Cydonia (not a personal favourite, but I can't complain - it sounds really great live).
I'd have the whole setlist up, but it's either muddled up (got Hysteria and Stockholm Syndrome mixed up, that I know) or I drew a blank because they played songs from their first 2 albums Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry. I recognised at least half of them, but a bit hard lah since I don't know remember the titles. [I never said I was a big fan of theirs before] So I'm waiting for someone somewhere to put up the full set list.

Despite having a nice view of the stage and being comfortably seated, I was a little annoyed when the three jokers in front of me decided to stand up and block my view - I split the time between my seat and the aisle throughout the concert.
They played about 14 other songs before they stopped and came back out for an encore of another 4 songs. There were also huge ass glitter-filled balloons being tossed around the most pit towards the end.
The whole concert lasted about an hour 50 minutes (give or take) as they finished the last song of the night at 10.30 p.m. Took me a little over an hour to get my butt home after quenching my thirst with 100 Plus (which was pretty much all I had on top of another can I drank before the concert).
Personally?
It was great watching them in action and they proved themselves (to me, anyway) that they indeed deserved their Best Live Act accolades. Front man Matt Bellamy is (seriously) a great performer, hamming it up to the crowd in between songs with "Apa khabar Kuala Lumpur?", "Terima kasih" and "Selamat petang" (sudah malam lah at that point, but I'm not gonna hold that against him). All the falsettos, etc. Gooooddd.... Even Dom the drummer also addressed the crowd a couple of times, significantly at the end of the night.
Left the concert with fond memories, smelling of cigarettes and a somewhat hoarse throat from all the screaming, shouting, singing along and inhaling some idiot's cigarette smoke without a sip to drink for at least a couple of hours.
To conclude: this was SOOOO worth the money (and time) spent on my ticket. In the Asian mindset - really value for money, haha. Greatest concert of the year, if nothing else.
P.S. I do have pics (crappy lah, but they're fine if you don't scrutinise...) and some videos; but it would have to wait. I managed to record full length videos of two songs, one of them crowd favourite Time is Running Out.
Now I wait for some bootlegs to make an appearance... bring it on!! There's already plenty of videos on YouTube - go check them out :)
