Paying fines and the Times Warehouse Sale...

Went out to collect dad's release letter saying that he's finished paying off the loan for my car in PJ New Town. Unfortunately along the way have lost the damn parking ticket to that parking block (cos one wastes a lot of petrol scouring that area for parking), so had to pay RM20 fine (not as bad as RM50).

On the way back checked out the Times Warehouse Sale (member's preview) - this one's bigger than the MPH and Popular ones put together. Wading through thousands of books is not easy, esp since about 80% of them obviously didn't pass QC or have been crushed/torn/whatever somewhere along the way, they're going for RM8 or RM15 each. If you don't mind some minor damage, then it's a great place to buy some old and new bestsellers.

Was sad that I was unable to find any Roald Dahl, except for the two-in-one Boy and Going Solo, which I already have. (I wanted to get the Complete Adventures of Charlie and Mr. Willy Wonka before the dumb-ass movie jacks up the prices). Was also sad to see the Palahniuk's were in such a condition, otherwise I would've gotten Diary and Choke (I think it was). No, it was Survivor.

But here's what I got in the end after 2 hours and also due to financial constraints:

- Dan Brown's Angels and Demons (RM24)
- Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club, Invisible Monsters (RM8 each = RM16)
- Anthony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential (RM8)
- Liza Dalby's Geisha (RM8)

But there are still a lot of unopened crates, so might go back there again before the weekend is out.
