Another royal wedding... 35 years overdue

Well... Charles and Camilla finally tied the knot, got hitched, got married yesterday. After 30 odd years. There was live CNN coverage from 6 to 11 something p.m.. (The actual thing only started like around 7 something really, the hour before that was spent interviewing the crowd). Thought it was funny that the crowd screamed unusually loud after they had emerged from the civil ceremony. Of course my mum thought maybe they were screaming at Princes Harry and William, who came out right behind them, haha.

But had to admit, the bride's worn a nice hat during the ceremony. And also the thing in her hair during the blessing ceremony which she was afraid would fly off in the wind. Then again, most of the female guests were wearing hats as well. What's up with the English and hats?

And now that they're finally married her new title's a mouthful for English royalty: Her Royal Highness Duchess of Cornwall. Does this mean she's not known by her first husband's name anymore? If she still is, then it's Her Royal Highness Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker-Bowles. But it's still nothing compared to the names of Malaysian royalty - the current Agong's full name is

Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail

Try memorising 50-odd names like that for Malaysian history. Not a pretty picture.

Makes me wish that if you want to joke about them, could they think of something else other than horse or love-is-blind references.
